By car from the South (35 minutes from Portland) Follow Interstate 295 (formerly Interstate 95) to Exit 20 (formerly exit 19) in Freeport. Turn right off the ramp on to Route 1 North. Head straight into downtown Freeport. After passing LL Bean continue on Route 1 North for approx. 5 or 5 1/2 miles. Take a left onto the Durham Road. Go down the Durham Road approximately 2 miles. Look for the White's Beach Campground on the right. Stop at the gate and tell them you are with the Kayak class. As you approach the water. Make a left and follow the road to the back of the pond. By car from the North (45 minutes from Augusta): Exit Interstate 295 (formerly Interstate 95) at Exit 22 (formerly exit 20) in Freeport. Turn right off the ramp towards Freeport Turn left on to Route 1 North. Continue on Route 1 North for approx. 5 or 5 1/2 miles. Take a left onto the Durham Road. Go down the Durham Road approximately 2 miles. Look for the White's Beach Campground on the right. Stop at the gate and tell them you are with the Kayak class. As you approach the water. Make a left and follow the road to the back of the pond.
